Tiara Blue has experienced a great deal of growth in the seven years since she started working at First Quality’s diaper manufacturing facility in Macon, Georgia.
Having originally started on the weekend swing shift, she’s been promoted and now holds the crucial job of quality engineer technician. She works to directly make improvements based on feedback from First Quality’s customers. She has also seen many coworkers take on new roles and bigger responsibilities since she started, a trend that has accelerated as First Quality has expanded in Macon by adding hundreds of jobs and several new production lines over the past year.
Tiara’s husband started working at the plant about two years after she did, after hearing so many good things from her. Meanwhile, they’ve welcomed three of their five children into the world since she joined the company.

In her current job, Tiara oversees the trials and validations for the new production lines that are part of the expansion. She also provides customers with samples and works with them to resolve any issues.
As a parent of young kids, she receives an employee discount on diapers at the company store, which is especially helpful because her two youngest are twins.
Daily sources of inspiration
Although her growing family takes up most of her attention outside of work, Tiara still makes time for fun where she can. She enjoys ballet and loves to take her family to the amusement park.
With young children, she doesn’t have as much time as she once did to sing at church. However, she’s found a new duet partner for those moments when she wants to sing: her boss.
“It makes the workday go by faster,” she laughed.
Tiara appreciates First Quality’s commitment to supporting the communities where the company operates. The company donates diapers to local organizations, and her coworkers volunteer to help make a positive impact.
In the end, she draws inspiration from these human connections.
“Even though things can get stressful at times, the people you work with make it easier for you. It makes all the difference,” she said.
