People Make It Possible: Ruchika

Most people wouldn’t attempt to learn to swim as an adult, but Ruchika Saini dove right in – literally. She wanted to be able to swim with her kids, so she set her fear aside and embraced the challenge. As a senior solutions architect for digital assets at First Quality, Ruchika brings this same determined spirit to her work each day.

I love tackling a challenge and building a solution,” said Ruchika. If First Quality was a car, I would be the one helping the sales and marketing engine run smoothly.”

In her role, Ruchika works with ever-evolving technology to design and maintain systems that support the sales and marketing efforts of the entire company. Her responsibilities include planning and strategizing IT applications, aligning with teams on business roadmaps and working on new product launches, just to name a few.

When Ruchika joined First Quality at the King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, location, she was intrigued by the unique challenges facing the business and the opportunity to make a long-lasting impact. But it was her teammates that made her feel like she had found the right fit.

There’s great collaboration at First Quality,” she said. “We work together to constantly learn, grow and improve. I think people would be surprised how much happens behind the scenes to manufacture diapers, paper towels and other products that families use every day. It’s a true team effort!”

Making a difference in the community

For Ruchika, one of the most fulfilling parts of working at First Quality has been volunteering at Cradles to Crayons (C2C). As part of a national partnership with C2C, First Quality hosts employee volunteer events at the C2C Philadelphia Giving Factory, including opportunities for team members’ children to get involved.

Ruchika’s young sons have joined her at the events, where volunteers sort donated clothing and books, clean shoes, and distribute diapers to the community.

“Volunteering is a small effort that makes a big impact,” said Ruchika. “As a mom, I understand how important it is for kids to feel confident and have their needs met. That’s what Cradles to Crayons provides for families and children across the United States, and I love being able to show my kids how they can make a difference.”

Shaping the future, together

Seven years after joining First Quality, Ruchika’s advice to new team members is the same thing she told herself when she decided to take up swimming: Embrace every opportunity to learn.

“We’re surrounded by talented people and strong leaders, and together we’re shaping the future of this business,” she said. “I found my home at First Quality, and I’m excited for what the future holds.”
