When friends ask finance director Aimee St. Patrick about her job at First Quality, they get an unexpected answer.
“They usually think I spend my days with spreadsheets, crunching numbers,” she said. “But the best part of my job is the people. They make work fun because they care. Our jobs aren’t easy, but we’re on a mission together to make products for people who need them.”
An Army Reserves veteran, Aimee joined First Quality 15 years ago as an entry level analyst in search of something different.
“I come from humble beginnings. Part of the reason I joined the military is because I wanted to see the world. Small town kid, big dreams,” Aimee said. “When I left the military and joined First Quality, I found what I’d been missing in the civilian world. Comradery, caring, respect and a company that lives its values. First Quality makes decisions based on what’s right for people, not just what’s the biggest financial gain.”
Endless possibilities
Aimee’s always been interested in trying new things, including different roles at First Quality. She was promoted to finance director in December 2023. Today, Aimee oversees all things financial for the manufacturing facility in McElhattan, Pennsylvania, as well as the adult incontinence business.
If it’s got numbers, Aimee’s working on it – and that usually means something different every day. Sure, spreadsheets are part of the job, but she also works hard to help teams, and especially new hires, see their role through a finance lens.
“At First Quality, everyone is in this together,” she said. “If you’ve got the gumption to tackle something new, First Quality will take a chance on you. I look at my last 15 years with the company and think ‘wow, I’ve made a difference here.’ The company’s constantly evolving and growing. The future’s full of possibilities.”
