Supply Chain Director
Location: Lock Haven, Pennsylvania
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Director at our Lock Haven, PA shared-service location.
Principal responsibilities include:
- Coordinating new customer activity with all operating companies. Communicate customer needs to operations and administration.
- Develop logistics/pricing proposals for sales presentations.
- Assist with customer setup (legal, insurance, credit, administration, item setup).
- Provide customer specification for logistics and product specs as needed.
- Direct demand planning for sales from multiple manufacturing plants to sell thru one retail selling company.
- Develop company wide forecast for retail operations to facilitate efficient manufacturing operations.
- Solve customer problems related to order fulfillment process. (order to cash)
- Collaborate with customers to resolve issues and operate efficiently in all areas of fulfillment.
- Develop and implement procedural changes for the administration area.
- Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
- Issue written and oral instructions.
- Identify markets for closeouts products for all divisions.
The success candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics; Masters preferred.
- 10 years of experience in a manager/director level role in the field.
- Knowledge of product, market and sales environment, retail and institutional.
- Understanding of company philosophy and procedures.
- Ability to interact with customers on all levels. Ability to persuade customers and still maintain customer satisfaction.
- Ability to motivate staff, supervise daily activity and manage performance.
- Thorough understanding of logistics and carrier operation including truckload, LTL and package carriers.
- A manufacturing background and understanding of production methodologies.
- Systems knowledge. (ERP, Microsoft Office, etc.)
