Production Planner II
Location: King of Prussia, Pennsylvania
The company is looking for a Production Planner II in King of Prussia for our Retail Service Group.
Role of Job: Responsible for developing manufacturing schedules, monitoring schedule attainment and planning, scheduling packaging, corrugate and materials in order to achieve the objectives for service, inventory management and production efficiency/waste.
Duties include:
- Work with manufacturing to develop achievable master schedules that meet sales requirements.
- Partner with suppliers to plan and schedule raw material, corrugate and packaging deliveries to support manufacturing schedules.
- Control packaging, corrugate and raw material working capital investment.
- Control finished goods inventory investment in the King of Prussia plant location.
- Maintain 99% unit fill rate for finished goods.
- Coordinate the manufacturing cycle count process.
- Work cross functionally with other departments to assure accurate demand planning information.
- Oversee Supplier Managed Inventory (SMI) programs where applicable.
- Manage BOM changes in relation to material transitions.
- Coordinate raw material and product changes to minimize inventory obsolescence and meet business objectives.
- Provide planning assistance and training within the organization and other First Quality locations.
- Maintain raw material lead times, minimum, maximum, reorder quantities within E1.
The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and education:
- Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business or a related field.
- 4-6 years experience in a manufacturing planning environment.
- Hands-on experience with supply chain management and ERP/MRP systems.
- CPIM or CIRM certification preferred.
- High level of computer literacy; effective problem-solving, organization and prioritization skills.
- Must be an effective communicator, articulate and able to clearly convey information; must have good interpersonal and leadership skills and interface with all departments. Must be able to speak, read and write the English language.
