Senior Finance Leader

Location: Great Neck, New York

The management company of a privately-held, dynamic and growing group of manufacturing companies is seeking a Senior Finance Leader to join the finance department of their Long Island, NY office. The management company provides financial, legal, tax, administrative and other supporting services to the manufacturing companies and their ownership.

Beyond the technical qualifications of the position, it is important that the individual demonstrates a strong character, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to build a solid working relationship with all functional areas. The candidate should have experience in strategic finance and accounting related areas including the following:

  • Development of a direct working relationship with ownership and others in a cross-functional environment to maintain, manage and safeguard the assets (as represented as the balance sheet) of the combined group.
  • Analysis of financial statements and results, ensuring a consistent review approach, as well as the use of system tools, such a business intelligence.
  • Implementation of a comprehensive budgeting & forecasting process, including IT solution
  • Leadership of the annual budget process for the combined group in addition to periodic forecasting, as required
  • Working with finance directors to properly budget, review and track the key business drivers, such as capital expenditures for this highly capital intensive business
  • Oversight of the preparation and issuance of certified financial reports with the outside audit firm
  • Establishment of internal audit function
  • Leadership of special projects from inception to completion
